It’s Been A While…
We’ve all had parasocial relationships with random people online—so whether you’re a long-lost friend or a curious lurker hoping to become one, there’s only one way to start this blog:
On last week's episode…
Jen and I were signing off on the podcast. At the time, it was a tough decision, but looking back, I’m incredibly grateful for everything that has unfolded since.
For those of you that need a little backstory, we used to run a podcast called The Musician’s Guide to Being Healthy, Wealthy, and Wise. It was a six-year journey, with weekly episodes featuring industry experts, guest hosts, and plenty of real-life stories about our work, helpful tips, and lessons learned along the way. Beyond the podcast, at KCA we were working with an incredible roster of clients and producing projects at a high volume.
On the surface, things seemed great—and to an extent, they were.
Jen and I both felt like we were constantly grinding without a clear direction. We were creating content, taking on projects, and pushing forward nonstop, but something felt off. We never really paused to reflect—let alone admit that we weren’t feeling truly fulfilled.
Crazy to think at times we don’t realize we’re spinning our wheels; other times, we’re painfully aware but have no idea how to get off the ride. Well, in the most anti-climactic way possible—we did it. We found a way to regain balance, redefine our path, and bring more of what we felt passionate about into our work.
We can confidently say we’re excited for the future! To everyone who has stuck around, supported our launches, and believed in what we’re building—thank you. Your support has meant everything, and we’re so grateful to continue being part of this incredible industry.
One of the biggest shifts we’ve made is focusing not just on what we offer, but on how we can give back. We’ve restructured with more intention, making space for mentorship, collaborations, and community-driven initiatives. Whether it’s through hands-on artist support, branding and content creation, or new educational resources, our goal is to help modern-day musicians thrive in a way that actually feels sustainable.
So, what’s next? A fresh approach, a stronger foundation, and even more ways to connect and grow together. This next phase is about clarity, purpose, and making sure everything we do brings value while paving the way for more to join us!
